According to an official statement released by authorities, the incident unfolded when a group consisting of a 33-year-old man, a 29-year-old man, and a 28-year-old woman entered the Waffle House to enjoy a meal.
As they were in the process of settling their bill, an unexpected turn of events took place when 35-year-old Darryes Monteze Hill, another customer, opened fire.
The gunfire resulted in all three individuals being struck once in the lower leg. Remarkably, Hill himself sustained an injury to his lower leg during the altercation.
