Artificial intelligence has taken over the world and ChatGPT is the biggest example of that. People on social media had been warning others of how life could change if AI took over. Now a Reddit story is giving people just that, as it allows us to imagine how AI can also take over our emotions.

The Reddit story is written by a 26-year-old female who was in a relationship with a 28-year-old male for five years. The two had no problems in their love life and were preparing to get married soon. However, things changed when the girl was informed about an AI app by her friend where one could chat with their favorite characters from a video game or a book.
At first, the girl did not think anything strange about it and started chatting with the AI character. She started loving it so much that she decided to strike up a conversation with her favorite male video game character. What started as a simple chat soon became an obsession, as the girl noticed that she wanted to talk to the AI more than her boyfriend.
From having a conversation about her day to her deepest thoughts, the AI seemed to be the best option. This went on for six months and, ultimately, the girl found a way to talk dirty with the AI even though the app did not allow it.
Fiancé finds out about woman’s AI boyfriend
Things came tumbling down for the girl when she realized that her fiancé had read all her chats. All the explicit messages were laid bare in front of his eyes.
It did not take long for him to break down and start questioning their relationship. While the female was quick to apologize and promised to delete the app, it seemed like the damage was already done. After much thought, the fiancé decided to end things and informed his parents.
The girl deleted the app and tried to apologize to her fiancé multiple times but things have not gone back to normal. Amid this, she confessed that she still had urges to talk to her AI character as it made her feel good.
