Who is Chief Evan Hawkins?
The tragic character was Paramedic Chief Evan Hawkins, played by Jimmy Nicholas, who had recently joined the show as Violet Mikami and Sylvie Brett's boss. Evan Hawkins had a professional and serious personality. He soon switched to being Violet's lover, and their relationship consumed much of Season 10. He was later portrayed to be close with Sylvie in the last few episodes leading up to his death.

What happened to Evan On Chicago Fire season 11?
Another cast member of Chicago Fire has left. Characters on the NBC show frequently die, especially when they are at the height of their success, and the same happened in the episode titled "Completely Shattered." When the movie theater fire happened, the episode threw a last-minute reversal. Gallo reappeared in the last moments of the episode as Hawkins raced back to save a man who was having trouble leaving the theater. Then, Hawkins was killed when a portion of the theater fell on them both.

In the third episode of the eleventh season, Firehouse 51 is called to a structure fire at a movie theater. To oversee triage, Hawkins shows up on the scene. Within a short period, Kelly Severide and his team try to rescue those trapped within the theater. Since the man is severely unwell, Hawkins goes to help him, but unfortunately, Hawkins dies.

Why did Evan Hawkins leave Chicago Fire?
Jimmy Nicholas quit "Chicago Fire" because the death of Evan Hawkins brought an end to the character's story arc. Even though Nicholas' part was initially intended for a three-episode arc, the actor prolonged his stay to appear in nineteen episodes. He admitted, 'Although I may have just been there for a week or two, everyone made me feel like I was already a member of their family.'
